Pink Peppercorn crispbread are made using a traditional sourdough starter, crushed pink peppercorns, organic spelt flour and fresh organic milk. They have a mild peppery heat and are the perfect accompaniment to cheese, pate or rillette. Each crispbread is bite-sized (approximately 50mmx50mm).
Friends, Ian and Wendy, quit their corporate jobs to follow their dream of introducing a Swedish inspired bakery into the UK market. On a research trip, they discovered a traditional Swedish crispbread (knäckebröd) made using a sourdough starter. They became friends with the baker – Peter – and together established the Peter’s Yard brand. Ian and Wendy initially imported the cirspbreads into the UK from Peter’s bakery in Sweden, but as demand for their product grew, production was switched to a bakery in the UK. Today, Peter’s Yard crispbreads have won numerous awards and are widely acknowledge as the best cracker to eat with cheese.
